This is the Pork Eating Crusader Patch. It features a crusader from the middle ages munching on a piece of pork. It has the words "Pork Eating Crusader" across the top in English and (what I assume) the same across the bottom in arabic. It's done in desert colors so that you can wear it with pride and piss off our desert hosts - I'm just sayin' . . . Sweet patch. This patch comes with velcro attached.

This is the Mom Cares Patch. This might actually be the funniest patch I've ever seen. If you don't get the sarcasm - don't get the patch :-) It features your mom with a cooking sheet with the words "Your Mom Sends Me Care Packages". It's done in desert colors. This patch comes with velcro attached.

This is a patch we had done for a customer of ours. It is given or used for vistors or PAX riding on the helicopter. It's very true. You get the folks in the helo and don't want them to touch anything and not say a word. While the picture has the bad word blocked out -- THE PATCH YOU ORDER WON'T. This patch does not come with velcro.

This is a replica type patch meant to look like the old WWII propaganda posters -- with a twist. The patch shows a pilot getting out of his airplane. On the top it says "YOU Shut The Hell Up". Below the pilot it says "WE'LL Protect America". On the bottom in small letters it says "Keep Out Of Our Fuc&ing Way, Liberal Pu$$ies. I covered up the actual patch for the photo on the web-site, but rest assured, the patch you order WILL have the explicit words on it!!! Damn cool patch! How do I start on this patch? First, there is no such thing as the 369th Air Expeditionary Wing -- it's a joke. However, there is currently a AEW that has made SO MANY rules and requirements for the folks deployed there that they have effectively SUCKED the morale from everyone. The top left picture shows folks having to wear a reflective belt EVERYWHERE you go -- I'm sure they'll require folks to start wearing them while sleeping soon. The top right picture shows the wonderful PT gear all USAF members are required to wear on their off time (yep, either PT gear or uniform at ALL times) and the fact that (even when exercising) your shirt must be tucked in. By the way, the newest "queep" is that if you are in PT gear and recognize a senior officer in PT gear you must salute -- it just keeps getting better. Bottom left shows a gas mask, because now the deployed folks are donning chemical gear during exercises (that's right, exercises) while deployed -- all the training you get BEFORE you deploy is obviously not enough. The bottom right picture . . . well, let's just say that the hosts of where this particular AEW is are making it extremely fun after all "combat" sorties - no kidding - a person must go through customs EVERY time they land from a flight (keep in mind they just took off a few hours earlier from the same place). Finally, the bottom says, "Victory through queep" -- there couldn't be a TRUER statement. This patch was a custom order and comes with velcro (of course you're not allowed to wear it in the FOL).

I have absolutely NO idea what organization this patch belongs to. I do know that it's a historic USAF patch and that it was ordered by someone then never paid for (they changed their minds -- gotta love that). If anyone has any info please let me know. This patch comes with velcro attached.

For many years, US Naval Aviation was known as the "Grumman Navy" due to the large percentage of aircraft that were produced by the Grumman Ironworks. Most of those have decommissioned now, and Boeing (formerly McDonnell Douglas) produces the Navy's only fighter/bomber at this time. This is the the company's squadron patch. The AN/USQ-163 Falconer, better known as the Air and Space Operations Center (AOC), is the senior element of the Theater Air Control System (TACS) and is the weapon system Commander, Air Force Forces (COMAFFOR) provides the Joint Forces Air Component Commander (JFACC) for planning and executing theater-wide aerospace forces. When the COMAFFOR is also the JFACC, the AOC is also the Joint Air Operations Center (JAOC). In cases of Allied or Coalition (multinational) operations, the AOC is also a Combined Aerospace Operations Center (CAOC). This particular patch is the patch for OIF, OEF, and HOA (Horn Of Africa) and located in Qatar (and NO, the bad transformers or Decepticons never attacked it). This patch comes with velcro attached.

The Strategic Air Command (SAC) was both a major command and a "specified command" in the U.S. Air Force and was the operational establishment in charge of America's land-based bomber aircraft and land-based ballistic missile strategic nuclear arsenal from 1946 to 1992. SAC also controlled the infrastructure necessary to support the strategic bomber and ICBM operations, such as tanker aircraft to refuel the bombers in flight, strategic reconnaissance and command post aircraft, and, until 1957, fighter escorts. This is the Operation Ranch Hand Patch from the Vietnam War. It's a smaller patch but, still nicely done. Operation Ranch Hand was a U.S. Military operation during the Vietnam War, lasting from 1962 until 1971. It was part of the overall herbicidal warfare program during the war called "Operation Trail Dust". Ranch Hand involved spraying an estimated 20 million US gallons of defoliants and herbicides over rural areas of South Vietnam. The United Nations passed a resolution that the use of any kind of biological or chemical weapon to kill plants in time of war is a violation of that protocol. Areas of Laos and Cambodia were also sprayed to a lesser extent. Nearly 20,000 sorties were flown between 1961 and 1971. The "Ranch Handers" motto was "Only you can prevent a forest" a take on the popular US Forestry poster of Smokey the Bear. During the ten years of spraying over 5 million acres (20,000 km2) of forest and 500,000 acres (2,000 km2) of crops were heavily damaged or destroyed. Around 20% of the forest of South Vietnam were sprayed at least once. The herbicides were sprayed by the U.S. Air Force flying C-123s using the call sign "Hades". The planes were fitted with specially developed spray tanks with a capacity of 1,000 US gallons (4 m3) of herbicides. A plane sprayed a swath of land that was 80 meters wide and 16 km (~10 miles) long in about 4˝ minutes at a rate of about 3 US gallons per acre (3 m3/km2). Sorties usually consisted of 3 - 5 planes flying side by side. 95% of the herbicides and defoliants used in the war were sprayed by the U.S. Air Force as part of Operation Ranch Hand. The remaining 5% were sprayed by the US Chemical Corps and other military branches as well as the RVN by hand sprayers, spray trucks, helicopters and boats primarily around U.S. military installations. 686 patch meaning -- morale patch (green) is a parody of the squadron patch, making reference to Monty Python's movie "Monty Python and the Holy Grail." It is in fact (now obsolete) a patch from Dover AFB, Delaware (C-5 aircraft). The patch belonged to the 436 Field Maintenance Squadron (FMS), of which I was a part when I first entered the active duty Air Force back in 87. We used the patch from the time I got there in Sept. 87 through a little after the Gulf War - Desert Shield/Storm. That was when the re-structuring of the Air Force took place and MAC became AMC and a whole slew of other changes, but our patch was never used again

The Northrop Grumman (formerly Ryan Aeronautical) RQ-4 Global Hawk (known as Tier II+ during development) is an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) used by the United States Air Force and Navy as a surveillance aircraft. In role and operational design, the Global Hawk is similar to the Lockheed U-2, the venerable 1950s spy plane. It is a theater commander's asset to provide a broad overview and systematic target surveillance. For this purpose, the Global Hawk is able to provide high resolution Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR)—that can penetrate cloud-cover and sandstorms— and Electro-Optical/Infrared (EO/IR) imagery at long range with long loiter times over target areas. It can survey as much as 40,000 square miles (100,000 square kilometers) of terrain a day. Missions for the Global Hawk cover the spectrum of intelligence collection capability to support forces in worldwide peace, crisis, and wartime operations. According to the Air Force, the capabilities of the aircraft allow more precise targeting of weapons and better protection of forces through superior surveillance capabilities. The Global Hawk costs about $35 million USD (actual per-aircraft costs; with development costs also included, the per-aircraft cost rises to $123.2 million USD each). This is the AIM-120 Advanced Medium Range Air-to-Air Missile (AMRAAM) radar missile patch.

The AGM-65 Maverick is an air-to-ground tactical missile (AGM) designed for close air support. It is effective against a wide range of tactical targets, including armor, air defenses, ships, ground transportation, and fuel storage facilities. The AGM-65F (infrared targeting) used by the U.S. Navy has an infrared guidance system optimized for ship tracking and a larger penetrating warhead than the shaped charge warhead used by the U.S. Marine Corps and the U.S. Air Force (300 pounds/140 kilograms vs. 125 pounds/57 kilograms). The infrared TV camera enables the pilot to lock-on to targets through light fog where the conventional TV seeker's view would be just as limited as the pilot's. The AGM-65 has two types of warheads; one has a contact fuze in the nose, and the other has a heavyweight warhead with a delayed fuze, which penetrates the target with its kinetic energy before detonating. The latter is most effective against large, hard targets. The propulsion system for both types is a solid-fuel rocket motor behind the warhead. The Maverick missile is unable to lock onto targets on its own; it has to be given input by the pilot or Weapon Systems Officer (WSO). In an A-10, for example, the video feed from the seeker head is relayed to a screen in the cockpit, where the pilot can check the locked target of the missile before launch. A crosshair on the head-up display (HUD) is shifted by the pilot to set the approximate target while the missile will then automatically recognize and lock on to the target. Once the missile is launched, it requires no further assistance from the launch vehicle and tracks its target automatically. This makes it a fire-and-forget weapon.
