This is the desert version of the famous EA-6B Prowler "Hussein Hunter" series of patches created back during the first Desert Storm. This one has been modified to reflect the latest Operation Iraqi Freedom War date of 03-20-03.

This patch represents all the Junior Officers in the squadron. It's a powerful union to express the desires of the squadron officers (majority of) to the Hinges and commanders.

This patch was created for the 1st Prowler NVG Landing. It occured during Operation Enduring Freedom on 10 Nov. 2002 in Bagram, Afghanistan.

The VAQ-34 "Flashbacks" fly out of NAS LeMoore, CA in the F/A-18 Hornet. They were established in March 1983 as the "Electric Horsemen". They have since moved to NAS Point Mugu, CA and now fly the Hornet after spending many years flying the EA-7L Corsair. They train as aggressors against radar operators, and originally offered the only "high-performance" billets to women because their mission was not considered "combat". They are joined by VAQ-33 and VAQ-35 as part of FEWSG. This is the "old" style version of their squadron patch.

This is the squadron patch for VAQ-128. It used to be the West Coast training squadron for the A-6E Intruder, and the Prowler squadron that was formed from them also kept the squadron insignia, as seen here. Quite a bit of history with them, also.

This is the detachment patch for the "land-based" Prowler squadron that went over to Incirlik, Turkey for support in Operation Northern Watch in late '00-'01. They are supplemented by the USAF and support Air Force operations, but fall under the direction of the Navy. It's still a 4-month deployment over there, but they don't get port calls in exotic lands.

This is the color version of the current squadron patch for the VAQ-129 'New Vikings' located at NAS Whidbey Island, WA and fly the EA-6B Prowler. They are the training squadron for the Pilots and ECMOs that fly the Prowler.
