They were an All-Weather, Carrier-based interceptor. They flew mainly in the Korean War, facing the MiG-15, and carried the predecessors to the Sparrows and AIM-9. Their patch consisted of their crest displaying "POTENTIA et POTESTIAS". Decommissioned in early 1960's??. |
