VF-74 Squadron Patch Size: 4 1/2" In Stock: <5 Price: $8.00 In April 1945, VBF-20 was established. They later became VF-10A in November 1946, then VF-92 in August 1948, then finally VF-74 in January 1950. They flew the F-4S until February 1983, then transitioned to the Grumman F-14A Tomcat. They went to sea in April 1984 aboard the USS Saratoga (CV-60) and flew against Libya in 1986 exercises. They transitioned to the F-14A+ (later redesignated the F-14B) and flew numerous missions in the Gulf War. |

They flew the F-4N Phantoms before transitioning to the F-14A Tomcat, but were decommissioned in the early '90s. They were also the squadron used in the Seagal movie, "Executive Decision", flying intercepts off the coast of Key West. |

VF-84 to VF-103 Felix Patch Size: 4 1/2" In Stock: >5 Price: $10.00 VF-84 was one of the oldest US Navy squadrons before decommissioning and transferring their name to VF-103. VF-103 was established in May 1952 and began the transition from F-4S Phantoms to the F-14A Tomcat in January 1983. The 'Sluggers' were with the USS Saratoga in CVW-17 for the majority of her time, before switching to the USS Enterprise. VF-103 adopted the "Skull and Crossbones" of VF-84 to continue their tradition. VF-103 had one of their TARPS-birds shot down by an optical SA-2 derivative in Desert Storm with the pilot being rescued and the RIO becoming a POW. This is the "transition" patch created for the transfer of the "Jolly Rogers" name. |

VF-92 20th Anniversary Repro Patch Size: 5" In Stock: >5 Price: $10.00 This patch is a reproduction patch of the VF-92 Silver Kings 20th Anniversary patch commemorating their existence from Korea to Vietnam (1952 - 1972). It was designed and made in 1959 in Yokosuka, Japan. They were the VF-92 Det November deployed aboard USS Yorktown CVS-10. Four F2H-3M Banshees 6 Pilots and 40 crew. The Patch was making a statement as to how we felt we were being treated at that time.---VF-92 was transitioning to the F3H-2M Demon at NAS Alameda while the Deployment of Detachment November was on Yorktown in WestPac. That was the last deployment of the Banshee with an active duty squadron. They returned to Alameda in May 1959. |
