VF-11 Aircraft Triangle Patch Size: 5" In Stock: >5 Price: $7.00 Callsign "RIPPER", the VF-11 Red Rippers transitioned from the F-4Js to the F-14A Tomcat in 1980. They were originally designated as VF-43 in September 1950, then redesignated in February 1959. They adopted the squadron insignia of the original VF-11 which was decommissioned the day prior, but even though they carry on the tradition of the insignia, they do not carry the original VF-11 lineage which dates back to February 1927. After several redesignations, they eventually received their final designation in July 1959. They flew the F-4N Phantoms until receiving their Tomcats in November 1983. They pioneered the use of the TARPS pod for reconnaissance missions and participated in the Lebanon and Syrian conflicts, the latter of which they were engaged by hostile AAA and missile fire. |

Established in October 1948, they were originally known as the 'Tarsiers' until the mid-80s. They transitioned from the F-4 Phantom to the F-14 Tomcat in 1981. They flew in operations against Libya, and Desert Storm onboard the USS America with CVW-1. This was their "STARFIGHTERS" aircraft triangle created when they switched from the "TARSIERS" to this name. |

VF-41 Aircraft Triangle Size: 4 1/4" In Stock: <5 Price: $7.00 This is the aircraft triangle patch for the "Black Aces" of VF-41 that operated the F-14A out of NAS Oceana, VA. Callsign "Fast Eagle", they were established in September 1950 and transitioned from the F-4Ns in April 1976 to their current platform. In August 1981, the Black Aces downed 2 Su-22 "Fitter" fighters after being attacked during an exercise. They participated in several exercises and flew from the decks of several carriers. They also shifted to the USS Lincoln (CVN-72) for 'cleanup' operations at the end of Desert Storm. They currently are with CVW-8 and have transitioned to the F/A-18F Hornet out of NAS Lemoore, CA. |

VF-74 Aircraft Patch Size: 4" In Stock: >5 Price: $7.00 The Bedevilers of VF-74 flew the F-14B Tomcat out of NAS Oceana, VA, but have since been decommissioned. They began flying the Tomcat in 1983, flying against Libya in 1986 in Operation Prairie Fire (March) and Operation El Dorado (April) during their Med Cruise. They also participated in Operation Desert Storm before going the way of the Doo-doo Bird. This is their aircraft triangle worn on the right shoulder of the flight suit. |

They were initally designated as VA-86 on 1 July 1955, but were redesignated to VF-84 on the same day! They were the second squadron to bear the VF-84 designation and bore the proud "Skulls and Crossbones" as their markings. They flew the F-4N Phantoms before transitioning to the F-14A Tomcat, but were decommissioned in the early '90s. They were also the squadron used in the Seagal movie, "Executive Decision", flying intercepts off the coast of Key West. |
